Damayanthi (Ranawake) Jayathilake is the CEO of SDJ Immigration Consulting Services. She is a full member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (R519754) and a Senior Member of the Alberta Paralegal Association and Commissioner for Oaths for the Province of Alberta Canada. She is also a life member of Bar Association of Sri Lanka.

Damayanthi obtained her Bachelors of Law (LLB) Degree from University of Colombo Sri Lanka and was called to the Bar of Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 1995. Prior to being a Lawyer, she was nominated as an apprentice at the Attorney’s General Department of Sri Lanka. She continued to practice as a Civil Lawyer for over 13 years until she landed to Canada as a permanent resident with her family. She also provided her service as a Notary Public, Company Secretary, Commissioner for Oaths and Justice of the Peace in Sri Lanka. She commenced to assist people in immigration matters since 1995 in Sri Lanka.

In Canada, she successfully completed Legal Assistant Diploma from Bow Valley College Canada in 2011 and joined as a student with the Court of Queen’s Bench Calgary. She was employed at Calgary Courts Centre, Government of Canada. Later, she has worked with senior renowned lawyers and immigration consultants as an Immigration and Family Law Paralegal and was able to assist thousands of clients.

She also graduated Immigration Law Practitioner Program (Immigration Consultant Diploma) from Ashton College, British Colombia Canada in 2016 succeeded the Full Skills Exam from her first attempt, and became a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant.

Her law degree has been recognized by the NCA, National Federation of Law Societies of Canada, and is working towards meeting the requirements for admission to the Bar.

Saman Jayathilake is the Chief Operating Manager of SDJ Immigration Consulting Services. Since 1995, he has been a criminal lawyer, Notary Public, Company Secretary and Commissioner for oaths and Justice of the Peace for all island and an owner of a Property Develop Company in Sri Lanka. He also a Paralegal and Commissioner for Oaths for the Province of Alberta Canada.

He attended University of Colombo for his LLB Degree after having the best results for the year in 1985, (A/L in Commerce) from Bandaranayaka College Sri Lanka. He studied his legal professional education at Sri Lanka Law College and was called to the Bar of Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 1995. He commenced his apprenticeship at Attorney’s General Department, and later under late President Council, and leading criminal lawyer Mr. Dunstan De Alwis.

Saman also graduated Paralegal Diploma with highest honours from Stratford Career Institute, Canada in 2013 and Immigration Consultant Diploma from Ashton College, British Columbia, Canada in 2014.
